Airport Facilities

Whanganui Airport features a number of customer oriented facilities.

Facilities at the Whanganui Airport include short and long term car parking, toilets, visitor information kiosk, cell phone coverage, terminal lounge and cafe (drinks, snacks and meals).

Terminal Hours

The airport terminal building is open one hour before the departure of scheduled flights and 30 minutes prior to scheduled arrivals. If access to the terminal building is required outside these times please contact the Duty Airport Officer.

Terminal Lounge

Its not the Koru Club, but it is modern, bright and comfortable, and it is free. Facilities are also available for the changing of young children.

Baggage Claim

An enclosed area with direct external access to the short term car park is provided for baggage claim.

Personal luggage is normally available within minutes of the aircraft arrival.
