Whangarei Airport is small airport with limited passenger facilities. The facilities at the Airport include car park, public areas, cafe, check in facilities, toilets and public transportations.

A Café (The Apron) operates within the terminal building. Opening hours are generally the same as those of Air New Zealand. Owners Mel and Becky serve their award winning coffee and food daily. The Apron is very popular and many people come to the airport just for the café.

Whangarei Airport has four car park spaces reserved for the disabled immediately to the right of the terminal building (as you arrive) and there is disable access toilet facilities.

Free high speed WIFI is available at the terminal and immediate surrounds. The airport terminal is smoke-free.
